Description:
This residential course uses a variety of experiential approaches to
assist aspiring and practicing managers to enhance their leadership
skills. Participants will be expected to not only enhance their interpersonal
competency, but also expand upon their knowledge and understanding of
the theory and research underlying the impact of managerial skills on
the organization.
In an age of team management and collaboration, leadership is an essential
skill that needs to be uncovered and developed, as well as applied.
This course encourages individuals to bring their unique background,
experiences, and perceptions to the important discussion of leadership.
The residential portion of this course will take place on the University
of Guelph campus. This will include participation in the Leadership
Conference.

Resources Required: On-line (Web-based) course
requiring access to the Internet. The minimum requirements are: a personal
computer with a Pentium-class processor; Windows 95 or later; 32 MB
RAM (64 recommended); 10 MEGS hard disk space; SVGA Monitor; 1 MB video
card; 256 colours; CD-ROM drive (suggested); word processing software;
56k modem; Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape 4.7 or later (Please note
that we DO NOT recommend using Netscape 6 at this time.)
